Finding the right person to talk to matters.

Not every space feels right. And when it doesn’t, it’s hard to open up in a way that actually helps. You can try to explain what’s going on, but if you don’t feel understood, things tend to stay the same.

I’m Betty, a psychodynamic therapist working online across Australia. I offer a space where you can take your time, feel met where you are and start to make sense of what’s been hard to shift.

You don’t have to figure it out on your own. We can start with a short conversation and see if it feels like the right fit.

How I can support you

Individual Counselling

I offer counselling for individuals at a pace that serves you. Sometimes it’s hard to explain what’s going on. We take the time to understand it properly, not just what you’re feeling, but what’s underneath it. We go at your speed, in a space built around you.

Trauma-Informed Support

Past experiences don’t always stay in the past. They can shape how you feel now, how you react now, and how you see yourself, often without you realising. We work safely with what’s happened, building steadiness and trust first, and going only as far as you’re ready to go.

What matters in the counselling space

Safety comes first

Nothing meaningful happens without a sense of safety. We take the time to build that, so you can be honest without feeling overwhelmed.

The patterns you’re in didn’t come from nowhere. We take the time to understand them, rather than trying to push them away.

There are reasons for what you feel

You set the pace

This is your space. I’ll guide where it’s helpful, but you won’t be rushed or pushed further than you’re ready.

The connection between us is part of the work. Feeling understood without judgement is what allows things to shift.

The relationship matters

Change happens over time

There’s no quick fix here. But with the right support, things can begin to move in a different direction.

Things can shift for you.

You don’t have to keep carrying things on your own.

A conversation is a good place to start.
